DIVES IN THE SOUTH, Playa del Carmen
These are probably the best sea dives that Playa del Carmen has to offer.
30 min to the south by boat.
You will enjoy the wreck of Mama Viña, Punta Venado, Tortugas,
Barracuda or Sábalos.

Description
These are the best sea dives that Playa del Carmen has to offer,
from downtown,
30 min to the south.
There are drift, deep dives and wrecks; Mama Viñas, Tortugas and Punta Venado. These are dives of 20 to 30 m (60 to 100 feet).
Barracuda and Sábalos are very popular, you can see a variety of marine fauna.
These we dive them as a second dive. Will be a shallow dive: 15 m / 47 feet.
If we are lucky… we can find sharks and turtles in this area. Manta rays, color full fish, lobster… are also easy to find.
Dives in the south are usually exposed to more currents than those in the center of Playa.
Normally departures are in the morning.
