Description
In Puerto Morelo´s Route
You have probably never dived in a similar environment, the cenotes of Puerto Morelos share several peculiarities; hydrogen sulphide clouds,“Devil’s bells”, crustaceans and depth.
Zapote cenote; named after a fruit tree that is in the surroundings. In Zapote it’s as if you start your dive in an earth funnel, and then you get into a huge bell… and then you dive between hell´s bells. You gotta see to understand!
The dive is 30m deep/ 100 feet for 30 min approx.
After a considerable surface interval (to be able to dive again to 30m/ 100 feet), with lunch and refreshments. We will arrive at Cenote Maravilla.
Maravilla, is an impressive cenote, hemispherical, “Devil’s bells”, hydrogen sulphide clouds and stalactites in its dome.
The most impressive thing about Maravilla apart from the dimensions, are the wavering rays of light that descend…. so beautiful.
The dive is 30m/ 100 feet deep for 40 min approx.
THE DEVIL’S BELLS …
are very curious bacterial formations, so far they have not been found anywhere else in the world, they are unique in this area of Yucatan.
